Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and roll down the window (if applicable) for access.
- Remove the vent glass assembly or inner door panel trim as required to expose the weatherstrip channel (consult vehicle service manual for model-specific removal).
- Carefully pull out the old weatherstrip; cut away any bonded sections with a utility knife and remove residual adhesive or debris.
- Clean the channel and surrounding metal with rubbing alcohol or a mild solvent and a clean cloth; ensure the area is dry before installing the new seal.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip halves to confirm orientation (left vs. right) and proper seating in the channel.
- Apply a light coating of soapy water or silicone lubricant to the weatherstrip flange to ease installation.
- Press the new weatherstrip into the channel, working gradually along the length to avoid stretching or twisting. Use a plastic trim tool to help seat the seal evenly.
- Reinstall the vent glass assembly or trim pieces and tighten any fasteners to the manufacturer's specification.
