Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on level ground and roll the vent glass into the service position if applicable.
- Remove the interior door/vent trim or fasteners blocking access to the vent glass assembly.
- Carefully loosen or remove vent glass mounting screws or pins; support the glass to prevent dropping.
- Gently remove the old weatherstrip by prying it out of the channel; use a trim tool to avoid damaging metal.
- Clean the channel thoroughly with a cloth and isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt and old adhesive residue.
- Lightly lubricate the new seal with soapy water or silicone spray to ease installation.
- Press the new seal into the channel starting at one end, working steadily around the perimeter until fully seated.
- Reinstall the vent glass into the channel and secure mounting hardware; check alignment and movement.
- Reinstall interior trim and test the vent window for smooth operation and proper sealing against wind/noise.
- If minor leaks are detected, re-seat the seal or apply a compatible adhesive sparingly where needed.
