A direct-fit self-locking windshield weatherstrip engineered for sedan and wagon body styles that accept chrome trim and body-clip-mounted seals. This weatherstrip inserts into existing body clips and provides a secure, factory-style hold for chrome windshield trim while sealing out water, wind and road noise. Constructed from durable, ozone- and UV-resistant rubber with a precisely formed locking bead, it restores correct alignment of the trim, prevents corrosion of the windshield lip, and delivers long-lasting reliability with simple installation.
Features:
- Fits various sedan and wagon models that use self-locking windshield weatherstrip with chrome trim; verify vehicle-specific fitment before purchase.
- Precision-molded EPDM rubber resists UV, ozone and temperature extremes for long service life.
- Self-locking profile inserts into existing body clips to secure chrome trim and maintain factory alignment.
- Seals against water and wind to reduce leaks, drafts and interior noise.
- No adhesive required — designed for clip-in installation for faster restoration or replacement.
- Restores original appearance and protects windshield flange from corrosion and damage.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and remove windshield trim (if applicable) using a trim tool or flat screwdriver to expose the old weatherstrip.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip and any damaged clips; inspect body clip locations and replace clips if worn or broken.
- Clean the windshield flange and clip areas with rubbing alcohol and a lint-free cloth; allow to dry.
- Position the new weatherstrip so the locking bead aligns with the body clips and the chrome trim seat lines up correctly.
- Starting at one corner, press the weatherstrip into the clips along the windshield flange, working around the opening and ensuring the profile seats evenly.
- Use a rubber mallet gently if needed to fully engage the locking bead into the clips; trim any excess material with a utility knife.
- Reinstall chrome trim (if removed) and inspect the seal for uniform engagement; test for leaks with a light spray of water and correct any loose sections.
