Instructions:
- Remove the trim piece: carefully pry molding away from the panel using a trim tool or flat screwdriver to expose old clips.
- Remove old clips and clean the channel: unfasten and discard damaged clips; wipe the channel and mounting surface clean of dirt and corrosion.
- Inspect and prepare new clips: compare the 1101 010 clip to the original; apply a light rust inhibitor if desired.
- Position the clip on the panel: align the clip's locating tab with the mounting hole or channel and press it onto the panel until it seats.
- Reinstall the molding: align the molding over the clips and press firmly along the length until each clip snaps into place.
- Check retention and gaps: verify the molding sits flush and is secure; adjust or replace additional clips if needed.
