Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and wear safety gloves and eye protection.
- Carefully pry back the windshield molding using a plastic trim removal tool or a flat-head screwdriver wrapped in tape to avoid scratching the glass or paint.
- Remove old clips by prying them out or sliding them off the molding. Inspect the molding channel and windshield flange for damage or corrosion.
- Clean the channel and mounting area with a cloth; remove dirt, adhesive residue, or rust. Apply a light coat of soapy water or silicone spray to ease installation if needed.
- Position each new clip so the locking tab aligns with the windshield flange (clip orientation may vary; match the original clip). Insert the clip into the molding or channel until it snaps firmly into place.
- Re-seat the molding over the new clips, pressing along the length to ensure each clip engages and the molding sits flush and even.
- Inspect the installed molding for gaps or misalignment. Test for secure fit by gently tugging the molding and take the vehicle for a short drive to confirm elimination of wind noise or rattles.
