Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and wear safety gear.
- Carefully pry up the windshield molding using a trim tool to avoid bending or kinking the trim.
- Remove and discard the old, damaged clips from the molding or body holes using pliers or a screwdriver as needed.
- Clean the clip mounting area and channel of dirt, old adhesive, and corrosion with a shop towel.
- Inspect molding and mounting holes; replace any damaged molding sections prior to clip installation.
- Align each new clip with the corresponding hole in the molding or body flange. For clips that attach to the molding, press the clip into the molding channel until it snaps in place.
- Position the molding over the windshield flange and press firmly at each clip location until you hear or feel the clip engage the body hole.
- Verify even seating along the molding, and re-seat any clips that did not fully engage. Trim or adjust molding ends if necessary.
- Check for gaps, wind noise, and water-tightness. Reinstall any adjacent trim or weatherstrips removed during the process.
