Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, set parking brake, and open the hood to access the cowl area.
- If equipped, carefully remove windshield wiper arms and any top cowl trim using a trim removal tool or the appropriate socket — consult vehicle service info if required.
- Use a plastic trim tool or flat screwdriver to pry out the old clip: gently work around the clip head to avoid damaging surrounding trim.
- Once the old clip is removed, clean the mounting hole and surrounding area with a clean rag to remove dirt and corrosion.
- Align the cowl panel or trim piece so the hole lines up with the body opening.
- Insert the new Precision Cowl Fastener Clip 5304 004 straight into the hole and push firmly until the clip head seats flush and the retention legs expand.
- Reinstall any removed wiper arms and trim; ensure components are aligned and secured. Tighten wiper arm nuts to vehicle-specified torque if applicable.
- Close the hood and check the cowl and trim for secure fitment and absence of movement or gaps. Replace additional clips as needed for full stability.
