Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and protect painted surfaces with masking tape where needed.
- Carefully pry out the old top molding using a plastic trim tool or flathead screwdriver, working slowly to avoid damaging the windshield flange or paint.
- Remove and retain any reusable clips or replace damaged clips with new ones; use needle-nose pliers to extract stubborn clips.
- Clean the molding channel thoroughly with rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth to remove dirt and old adhesive.
- Dry-fit the new molding along the top edge to confirm orientation and clip locations.
- Starting at one end, align the molding and press it into the channel, snapping clips into place as you progress across the windshield top.
- If specified for your model, apply a thin bead of windshield trim adhesive/sealant in the channel before final seating; wipe away any excess immediately.
- Trim any excess material if required, ensure the molding sits flush, and allow any adhesive to cure per product instructions (typically up to 24 hours).
- Perform a water test or road test to confirm a proper seal and eliminate wind noise.
