Instructions:
- Remove old weatherstripping: carefully pry out old seals and retain any clips or fasteners if reusable.
- Clean mounting surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or approved cleaner; remove adhesive residue and rust.
- Dry-fit new pieces to confirm proper location and orientation before applying any adhesive.
- Apply weatherstrip adhesive in a thin, even bead to the mounting flange or the seal per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Position the new seal, press firmly along the length to seat the flange into the channel, and use masking tape or clamps to hold in place if needed.
- Trim any excess material with scissors or a utility knife for a neat finish; reshape corners with a heat gun if required.
- Allow adhesive to cure fully per the adhesive instructions (typically several hours) before closing doors or driving.
- Reinstall any trim, clips or hardware removed during disassembly and check for proper door/trunk alignment and sealing.
