The Precision Complete Weatherstrip Seal Kit CWK 3110 87 is a comprehensive replacement weatherstrip set engineered to restore sealing performance for vehicle openings. It seals out water, wind, dust and road noise while helping prevent rust and interior damage — improving cabin comfort and preserving vehicle value during restoration or maintenance. Molded from durable EPDM-style rubber with UV and ozone resistance, the kit is designed to match original profiles for a reliable, long-lasting fit and straightforward installation.
Features:
- Complete weatherstrip kit restores sealing for doors, trunk/boot and other body openings to prevent leaks and drafts.
- Durable EPDM-style rubber construction resists UV, ozone and temperature-related degradation for long service life.
- Helps reduce wind noise and vibration while preventing water intrusion and corrosion of body panels.
- Engineered to match OEM profiles for a near-original fit and restored appearance.
- Installation-friendly design — adhesive-ready or retainer-style sections allow straightforward replacement.
- Ideal for restoration projects or routine maintenance to improve cabin comfort and vehicle longevity.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 60-120 minutes (typical for one vehicle)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, open the affected door/hood/trunk and support as needed.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: peel away adhesive, unclip retainers, and cut stubborn sections with a utility knife.
- Clean the sealing channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with solvent to remove old adhesive, dirt and oils; allow to dry.
- Test-fit new weatherstrip pieces to verify orientation and trim length. If the kit includes retainer clips, confirm clip locations before adhesive.
- If adhesive is required, apply primer (if supplied or recommended) and a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or to the gasket back according to adhesive instructions.
- Begin installing the weatherstrip at one corner and press firmly into place, working along the length to avoid twists or folds. Use masking tape or clamps to hold sections while adhesive sets if specified by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Trim any excess with a sharp utility knife for a clean junction at corners and ends. Reinstall any retainers or fasteners removed earlier.
- Allow adhesive to cure for the recommended time before closing the door/hood/trunk. Check for proper sealing and adjust as needed.
