Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and ensure the rear area is accessible.
- Remove interior trim panels surrounding the rear window to expose the molding channel (use trim tool to avoid damage).
- Carefully pry off the old molding, starting at one corner and working around the glass; retain any clips or fasteners if reusable.
- Clean the window channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or adhesive cleaner; remove old adhesive and debris with a razor blade or scraper.
- Dry-fit the new molding to confirm orientation and fit before final installation.
- If the molding requires adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of recommended automotive adhesive/sealant to the channel per product instructions.
- Starting at the center of the bottom edge, press the new molding into the channel and work outward toward the corners, using a rubber mallet or roller to seat the molding evenly and securely.
- Trim any excess molding or material if necessary and ensure all corners and joints are fully seated.
- Reinstall interior trim panels and any removed fasteners, then allow any adhesive to cure per manufacturer recommendations before driving.
