Instructions:
- Confirm fitment by dry-fitting both molding pieces against the rear window opening.
- Carefully remove the old molding: use a plastic trim tool to pry away clips and peel adhesive backing as needed.
- Clean the installation surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth; remove old adhesive residue and contaminants.
- If the new molding requires adhesive, apply a uniform bead of recommended weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or vehicle flange per adhesive instructions.
- Position the molding starting at one corner and work around the glass, seating the profile fully into the channel or over the flange. Ensure proper alignment and engagement with any clips.
- Use masking tape to hold the molding in place while adhesive cures, and press along the length to ensure full contact and a consistent seal.
- Trim any excess material if necessary and reinstall any removed trim pieces or fasteners.
- Allow adhesive to cure for the manufacturer-recommended time before driving; inspect for gaps, proper sealing, and secure fitment.
