Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, open doors and support them if necessary.
- Remove interior door trim and any retaining clips or fasteners that block access to the old weatherstrip.
- Carefully pull out the old weatherstrip. Use a trim tool or screwdrivers as needed to free stubborn sections.
- Clean the channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt and oils. Allow to dry.
- Dry-fit the new weatherstrip pieces into the door channel to confirm orientation and full coverage. Trim excess with a razor blade if required.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or the seal per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Press the new weatherstrip into place starting at one end and working to the other, ensuring the seal seats fully in the channel and aligns with door edges.
- Reinstall any clips or retainers removed earlier. Close the door and check for proper fit, alignment and even compression along the seal.
- Allow adhesive to cure per adhesive instructions before exposing to moisture or heavy use (typically 24 hours).
- Reinstall interior trim and verify door operation and sealing performance.
