Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a flat surface and wear safety gloves and eye protection.
- Carefully pry the molding away from the body using a plastic trim removal tool to expose the old clips.
- Use needle-nose pliers or a screwdriver to remove damaged or corroded clips from the body and molding.
- Clean the mounting flange and clip holes with isopropyl alcohol and a cloth; remove dirt and old adhesive.
- Test-fit new clips into the body holes or onto the molding to confirm correct orientation and fit.
- Insert each clip into the body hole until it snaps into place; ensure clips are fully seated.
- Align the molding over the clips, then press evenly along the trim to engage each clip. Use a rubber mallet with a cloth if gentle persuasion is needed.
- Recheck the trim alignment and ensure there are no gaps that could admit water or cause noise.
- Trim any excess material and reinstall any screws or retainers removed earlier. Road-test to confirm secure fit and noise-free operation.
