Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and disconnect the negative battery terminal if required by vehicle service manual.
- Protect painted surfaces with masking tape along the cowl and windshield edges.
- Carefully remove any exterior trim, windshield molding clips or retaining screws along the top of the windshield using a plastic trim tool or screwdriver as appropriate.
- Gently pry the old top molding away from the windshield channel, working along its length to avoid bending or cracking adjacent trim.
- Remove any old adhesive, dirt, or rubber residue from the windshield channel using a razor blade and clean rag with isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the channel is dry and free of debris.
- Dry-fit the new top molding to confirm correct orientation and fitment. Trim excess length if necessary using a razor blade.
- Starting at one end, press the new molding into the windshield channel, aligning any locating tabs or clips. Work along the length, firmly seating the molding until all clips engage.
- Reinstall any retained trim pieces, clips, or screws removed earlier. Verify the molding sits flush and continuous across the windshield top.
- Clean surrounding glass and trim. Allow any adhesive or sealant (if used) to cure per product instructions before driving.
- Perform a water test (gentle hose spray) to check for leaks and make minor adjustments if required.
