This Sway Bar Link Repair Kit is designed to restore the front or rear stabilizer (sway) bar link assemblies on 1994–2018 Dodge and Ram trucks and vans. The kit provides replacement bushings, sleeves, and hardware to secure the sway bar end link to the control arm and reduce play, noise, and vibration caused by worn or damaged components. Built for durability and straightforward fitment, the kit helps re-establish proper suspension geometry, improve handling, and extend the life of existing link studs without requiring a full replacement of the link assembly. Ideal for restoration and routine maintenance, this repair kit delivers reliable fastening and long-lasting performance while being easy to install with common hand tools.
Features:
  • Fitment: Compatible with 1994–2018 Dodge and Ram light trucks and vans — suitable for right or left sway bar link repair.
  • Complete kit: Contains replacement bushings, metal sleeves, and mounting hardware needed to refurbish one sway bar link.
  • Function: Secures the stabilizer (sway) bar to the link stud, eliminating play and reducing clunking, rattling, and vibration.
  • Durable materials: Resilient polymer bushings and corrosion-resistant sleeves and hardware for long service life.
  • Easy to use: Designed for straightforward installation with basic tools — a cost-effective alternative to full link replacement.
  • Restoration-ready: Ideal for restoring original handling and alignment during suspension rebuilds or preventative maintenance.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30-60 minutes per side
Suggested Tools:
  • Jack and jack stands (or lift)
  • Wheel chocks
  • Socket set and ratchet
  • Box-end wrenches
  • Torque wrench
  • Flat-head screwdriver or pry bar
  • Rubber mallet (optional)
  • Penetrating lubricant (if fasteners are corroded)
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake, and place wheel chocks behind rear wheels.
  2. Raise the vehicle and support securely on jack stands. Remove the wheel for better access if necessary.
  3. Locate the sway bar end link and inspect the link stud and mounting hardware. Apply penetrating lubricant to seized fasteners and allow to soak if needed.
  4. Remove the nut(s) securing the sway bar link to the sway bar and control arm using the appropriate sockets/wrenches. Retain any reusable hardware if in good condition or discard per kit instructions.
  5. Separate the link from the sway bar/control arm. Use a pry bar or rubber mallet to free stuck components if required.
  6. Remove old bushings and sleeves from the link stud or link housing. Clean the stud and surrounding area of dirt and corrosion.
  7. Install the new polymer bushings and metal sleeve(s) from the kit onto the link stud or into the link housing in the correct orientation.
  8. Reassemble the link by positioning it between the sway bar and the control arm and reinstalling the supplied hardware. Hand-tighten nuts initially.
  9. Torque all fasteners to the manufacturer's specified values using a torque wrench. Check both upper and lower mounting points if applicable.
  10. Lower the vehicle, remove jack stands and wheel chocks, and perform a test drive to verify the absence of noise and improved handling. Re-torque fasteners after a short break-in period if recommended.
