This critical suspension component connects the lower control arm to the steering knuckle, maintaining proper wheel alignment and smooth steering while supporting vehicle weight. Built for durability and reliable performance, it restores steering precision, reduces vibration, and helps prevent uneven tire wear. Engineered for straightforward replacement in typical repair and restoration projects, it delivers long-lasting service and improved vehicle safety.
Features:
  • Fits 2004-2008 Chrysler Pacifica — front lower, left or right side
  • Direct-fit replacement for worn or damaged front lower ball joint
  • Forged steel construction with corrosion-resistant finish for durability
  • Restores proper suspension geometry, steering responsiveness, and reduces tire wear
  • Pre-greased or serviceable design (verify model) for long-term reliability
  • Designed for straightforward installation with common hand tools
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 1–2 hours per side
Suggested Tools:
  • Floor jack and jack stands
  • Lug wrench
  • Socket and ratchet set
  • Breaker bar
  • Torque wrench
  • Ball joint press or C-clamp and adapters
  • Ball joint separator (pickle fork) or tie rod separator
  • Hammer
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Penetrating oil
  • Grease gun (if serviceable)
Instructions:
  1. Park on level ground, engage parking brake, loosen wheel lug nuts slightly.
  2. Raise vehicle with floor jack and support securely on jack stands; remove the wheel.
  3. Remove cotter pin and loosen then remove castellated nut from the lower ball joint stud.
  4. Use a ball joint separator or pickle fork to separate the ball joint stud from the steering knuckle; support the knuckle to avoid stressing the brake lines.
  5. Remove any retaining bolts or snap rings holding the ball joint to the lower control arm (depending on vehicle subframe design).
  6. Use a ball joint press (or suitable C-clamp press) to press the old ball joint out of the lower control arm.
  7. Clean the control arm bore and inspect for damage or corrosion; apply a thin coat of anti-seize if desired.
  8. Press the new ball joint into the control arm until fully seated. Install any retaining clips or snap rings if required.
  9. Reinstall the steering knuckle onto the ball joint stud, tighten the castle nut to manufacturer torque specifications, and insert a new cotter pin.
  10. Reassemble any removed suspension components, torque all fasteners to spec, reattach the wheel, lower the vehicle, and perform a final torque on the lug nuts.
  11. If the ball joint is serviceable, apply grease via the grease fitting. After installation, have a professional wheel alignment performed.
