Instructions:
- Remove the old weatherstrip: gently pry out the old seal and any retaining clips using a trim tool or flathead screwdriver.
- Clean the mounting channel: remove old adhesive and dirt, then wipe surfaces with rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth. Allow to dry.
- Inspect the channel and clips: replace any broken clips or damaged channel metal before installing the new seal.
- Test-fit the new seal: align the DWB 3110 94 seal along the door opening to confirm length and fit; trim excess with a utility knife if needed.
- Apply adhesive if recommended: for a more permanent bond, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Seat the seal: press the retention channel firmly into the door channel, working from one end to the other and ensuring the bulb compresses evenly.
- Secure ends and corners: trim any overhang and confirm corners are seated flat; reinstall any clips removed during disassembly.
- Cure time: allow adhesive to set per product instructions (typically 1–2 hours) before closing the door repeatedly.
