Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and lower the window fully to access the beltline channel.
- Carefully remove the existing molding: use a trim tool or flathead screwdriver to pry the molding away from the door, working along the length to release retaining clips or fasteners.
- Remove any remaining clips or screws from the door channel and discard damaged pieces. Clean the channel thoroughly with a cloth and rubbing alcohol to remove dirt and old adhesive.
- Test-fit the new molding in the channel to confirm orientation and alignment. Use masking tape to hold it in place temporarily if needed.
- If clips are supplied, insert them into the molding or channel per the part’s design. Position the molding at one end of the door and press firmly along its length to engage clips or fasteners. If screws are required, install and tighten them snugly (do not overtighten).
- Use a rubber mallet or firm hand pressure to seat the molding fully and ensure even contact. Apply weatherstrip adhesive at problem areas if necessary for additional hold.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive, raise and lower the window several times to confirm smooth operation and that the molding does not interfere with the sash.
- Perform a final inspection for gaps and proper fit. Replace any missing clips and clean the finished molding.
