Instructions:
- Lower the window fully to expose the beltline channel.
- Protect painted surfaces: apply masking tape along the door edge as needed.
- Remove the inner door trim or any weatherstrip sections necessary to access fasteners or clips (use a plastic trim tool to avoid damage).
- Carefully remove any screws or retainers holding the old molding; gently pry out the old molding and clips from the channel.
- Clean the beltline channel thoroughly with a cloth and mild cleaner or isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt and adhesive residue.
- Dry-fit the replacement molding to verify orientation and alignment before final installation.
- Starting at the front, align the new molding into the channel and press it firmly into place, engaging clips or retaining features along the length. Reinstall any screws or retainers removed earlier.
- Reinstall inner door trim and weatherstrips, remove masking tape, then operate the window several times to confirm smooth operation and proper fit.
- Inspect for gaps or loose sections; if needed, tighten fasteners or re-seat molding until secure.
