Instructions:
- Prepare the workspace: lower the window slightly (if applicable) and disconnect the vehicle battery if removing electrical components.
- Remove the interior door panel using the trim removal tool and appropriate screwdrivers; set fasteners aside in order.
- Carefully remove the old beltline molding by releasing any visible clips or screws and gently prying the molding away from the door edge. Use masking tape on painted surfaces to prevent scratches.
- Clean the mounting channel and surrounding area with solvent and a rag to remove old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion. Allow to dry.
- Inspect and replace any broken clips or fasteners. Position the new molding (WFR 6110 84) at the leading end of the door channel, aligning it with door edges and window track.
- Press the molding into place along the channel, engaging clips or fastening points. Use a rubber mallet or hand pressure to seat the molding evenly without bending it.
- Reinstall any screws or retainers removed earlier, ensure the molding sits flush and the window operates smoothly through its full travel.
- Reinstall the door panel, reconnect any electrical connectors, and perform a final check for proper alignment, sealing, and window operation.
