The Precision Quarter Window Weatherstrip Seal, Left Hand QWL 3410 68 is a left-side quarter window seal designed to restore proper fit and finish while preventing water intrusion, wind noise and rattles. Molded from durable EPDM rubber for long-term resilience against ozone, UV and temperature extremes, this seal recreates OEM-style sealing performance to keep the cabin dry, quiet and secure. Ideal for restoration or replacement projects, the profile provides a snug, consistent compression fit and resists tearing and deformation for reliable service.
Features:
- Durable EPDM rubber construction resists UV, ozone and temperature degradation.
- Designed to seal quarter window openings to prevent water leaks, drafts and wind noise.
- Left-hand orientation (LH) matches original installation location and profile.
- OEM-style profile for proper fit, consistent compression and reduced vibration.
- Easy to trim and install with common hand tools; suitable for restoration and repair.
- Long-lasting material helps maintain vehicle appearance and interior protection.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-45 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and lower or remove the quarter window (if required by vehicle).
- Carefully pry out and remove the old weatherstrip using a trim tool or flat-head screwdriver; take care not to damage the channel or paint.
- Clean the window channel and surrounding surfaces thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a clean rag; remove old adhesive and debris.
- Test-fit the new seal along the channel to verify orientation and length; trim excess with a utility knife or scissors if necessary.
- Apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel if the vehicle requires adhesive; for many applications a lubricant (soapy water or silicone) is sufficient to ease installation.
- Starting at one end, press the weatherstrip firmly into the channel, working along the length to ensure full seating and correct compression. Use a small block or your fingers to roll the seal into place.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately and allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer instructions if used.
- Reinstall the quarter window (if removed) and operate to confirm proper fit and smooth operation. Check for leaks by lightly spraying water around the seal.
