A direct-fit chrome lockstrip designed for 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Fastback models, this glass weatherstrip chrome lockstrip secures the window weatherseal to the glass and channel to restore proper fit and sealing. Built to reproduce the original appearance and function, the chrome-plated lockstrip holds the rubber weatherstrip firmly in place to prevent wind noise, water intrusion, and premature rubber shift or damage. Durable, corrosion-resistant plating and accurate profiling ensure reliable long-term performance and straightforward installation for restoration or maintenance projects.
Features:
  • Fits 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Fastback models (specified application).
  • Chrome-plated steel lockstrip designed to retain glass weatherstrip securely.
  • Prevents wind noise and water leaks by holding weatherstrip firmly in the channel.
  • Durable, corrosion-resistant finish for long-lasting appearance and reliability.
  • OEM-style profile for accurate restoration and easy replacement of worn originals.
  • Simple installation with basic hand tools — ideal for restoration or maintenance.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30-60 minutes per door (typical)
Suggested Tools:
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Trim panel removal tool
  • Rubber mallet or wooden block
  • Needle-nose pliers
  • Glass cleaner and rag
  • Lubricant (soapy water or silicone spray)
Instructions:
  1. Lower the window to a position that allows access to the weatherstrip and lockstrip area.
  2. Remove the door panel and any inner trim necessary to expose the window channel and weatherstrip.
  3. Carefully remove the old lockstrip and weatherstrip from the glass and channel; note the orientation and routing.
  4. Thoroughly clean the channel and glass seating area of old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion; dry and inspect.
  5. Position the new rubber weatherstrip onto the glass or into the channel as required by the original routing.
  6. Align the chrome lockstrip over the weatherstrip groove and begin seating it at one end.
  7. Use a rubber mallet or wooden block to gently tap the lockstrip into the channel, working along the length until fully seated; avoid sharp impacts to prevent damage.
  8. Trim any excess if necessary and recheck alignment; lubricate lightly if needed to ease window movement.
  9. Reinstall inner trim and door panel, then cycle the window several times to confirm smooth operation and proper sealing.
