Features:
- Designed for convertible models; compatible with chrome trim WCR D690 A.
- Self-locking profile secures windshield trim without additional fasteners.
- Made from durable, weather-resistant rubber for long-term sealing.
- Prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise, and minimizes vibration.
- OEM-style replacement ideal for restoration and trim refurbishment.
- Easy to install with common trim tools; seats firmly for reliable performance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes (vehicle-dependent)
Instructions:
- Remove the old weatherstrip and any retained chrome trim. Carefully pry trim away with a plastic trim tool to avoid damaging the channel.
- Clean the windshield channel and surrounding surfaces with rubbing alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt and grease. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip and chrome trim (if applicable) to confirm orientation and length. Trim excess if necessary, leaving a small allowance for proper seating.
- Apply a light coat of soapy water or approved rubber lubricant to the seal’s bulb and the channel to ease installation.
- Start at the top center of the windshield. Press the seal’s locking edge into the channel and work outward toward each corner, progressively seating the seal.
- Use a rubber mallet or block of wood and a firm hand to gently tap the seal into place where required, avoiding sharp impacts.
- Reinstall the chrome trim over the weatherstrip, ensuring the trim engages correctly and the seal remains fully seated.
- Trim any excess material cleanly, wipe away lubricant, and inspect the seal for even contact. Test for leaks by gently spraying water and check for wind noise while driving.
