Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, remove the hard top or open the top panels as needed to access the old seal.
- Carefully remove the existing weatherstrip by prying it out of the channel with a trim tool or screwdriver. Take note of routing and orientation.
- Clean the mating surface and channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or mild cleaner to remove dirt, adhesive residue and old sealant. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new left and right seals along the channel to confirm orientation and length.
- If recommended by vehicle instructions, apply a light film of soapy water or rubber lubricant to the seal to ease installation.
- Starting at one end, press the new weatherstrip firmly into the channel, working along the length and ensuring the retention lip seats fully. Avoid stretching the seal.
- Trim any excess material only if necessary and per original seal length; ensure both ends meet flush without gaps.
- Reinstall the hard top and check for proper fit. Close all latches and inspect for even compression of the seal.
- Perform a water test (hose or light spray) and inspect inside for leaks. Make final adjustments if any leaks or uneven compression are detected.
