Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and disconnect the negative battery terminal if required for safety.
- Carefully remove the rear window molding or trim: use a plastic trim tool to pry the molding away from the glass and body to avoid scratching.
- Remove any remaining old clips or corroded retainers from the glass flange and body channel. Use needle-nose pliers to extract stubborn pieces.
- Clean the molding channel and glass flange thoroughly with a mild cleaner or isopropyl alcohol. Allow surfaces to dry before installation.
- Test-fit each new clip to the molding and vehicle channel to confirm orientation and spacing before final installation.
- Press the new clips into the molding or body channel until they snap into place. Replace clips at factory spacing and any locations where clips were removed.
- Re-seat the molding against the window and body, ensuring each clip engages securely. Work along the length of the molding to avoid distortion.
- Inspect the installation for even fit, then check for gaps, wind noise, and water tightness. Make any minor adjustments by reseating clips or repositioning the molding.
