Instructions:
- Carefully remove the rear window molding or trim piece using a trim removal tool or flat pry tool to expose the old clips and retainers
- Use needle-nose pliers or a screwdriver to remove any broken or corroded clips from the body channel and trim — apply rust penetrant if clips are seized
- Clean the molding channel and mounting surface with a cloth to remove dirt, adhesive residue and corrosion
- Compare new clips from the kit with the originals to confirm orientation and placement
- Install new retainers/clips into the body channel or onto the molding as required — press or snap each clip into place until fully seated
- Reposition the rear window molding and align it to the channel, then press firmly along the length so each new clip engages and secures the trim
- Inspect the installed molding for even fit and gaps; adjust clip positions if necessary to ensure flush alignment
- Recheck all clips after a short test drive and retighten or reseat any that show movement or looseness if needed
