Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and wear safety gloves and eye protection.
- Carefully remove the windshield molding or access the clip locations using a trim removal tool to avoid damaging the molding or paint.
- Inspect existing clips and mounting channels; remove any broken clips or debris with needle-nose pliers and a flat-head screwdriver.
- Clean the clip area and channel with isopropyl alcohol and a clean rag; allow to dry.
- If needed, apply a small amount of silicone spray or lubricant to the clip shank to ease installation.
- Align the new clip with the molding channel or mounting hole; press the clip shank into place until it snaps or seats securely.
- Re-seat the molding over the newly installed clips, pressing along the length of the trim to ensure each clip engages properly.
- Verify the molding is flush and evenly seated; test for wind noise or loose sections and re-tighten or replace any clips that did not fully engage.
