Precision Windshield Glass DL01136 GTN is a laminated green windshield designed as a direct replacement for vehicles that require DL01136 fitment. It provides a strong safety barrier, clear visibility, and integrated UV/tint benefits while meeting safety and bonding requirements for modern automobiles. This windshield helps protect occupants from debris and glass fragmentation, reduces glare and heat transfer with its green tint, and restores the vehicle’s structural integrity and weather sealing when replacing a damaged or aged windshield. Verify OEM part number and vehicle application before ordering to ensure correct fitment.
Features:
- Laminated green windshield (DL01136 GTN) for direct-replacement applications — verify vehicle fitment prior to purchase.
- High-quality laminated construction prevents shattering and reduces injury risk in collisions.
- Green tint reduces glare and helps block solar heat and UV exposure for improved cabin comfort.
- Manufactured to match OEM thickness and curvature for proper fit, seal, and windshield wiper operation.
- Durable edge finish resists moisture intrusion and corrosion to preserve adhesive bonding.
- Suitable for restoration, repair, and replacement projects to maintain vehicle safety and appearance.
- Ready for urethane bonding; designed for long-term reliability and weather resistance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours (single technician)
Instructions:
- Confirm vehicle compatibility and prepare a clean, sheltered work area. Disconnect vehicle battery if required by vehicle manufacturer.
- Remove interior trim and rearview mirror as needed to access the windshield perimeter.
- Use suction cups and trim tools to carefully release and remove the damaged windshield; cut through existing urethane with a utility knife or windshield cutting tool.
- Clean and remove old adhesive from the pinch weld/frame using adhesive remover and a clean cloth; ensure the bonding surface is dry and free of rust or debris.
- Apply windshield primer to the pinch weld and primer/activator to the windshield edge per adhesive manufacturer instructions; allow required flash times.
- Load urethane adhesive into a caulking gun and apply a continuous, even bead around the pinch weld following vehicle-specific bead profile.
- With suction cups, position the new DL01136 GTN windshield and carefully set it into place, ensuring correct alignment and full contact with the adhesive bead.
- Hold or brace the windshield as needed until initial adhesive cure, then reinstall trim, mirror, and any removed components.
- Allow the adhesive to cure per manufacturer-specified time before driving (usually a minimum of 1–2 hours for initial set; full cure may take longer).
- Check for leaks and proper sealing after cure; if uncertain or if vehicle has advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), perform system recalibration or consult a professional.
