Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and set the parking brake. Protect painted surfaces with fender covers or towels.
- Carefully pry up and remove the old top windshield molding using a plastic trim tool. Work gently to avoid scratching the glass or paint.
- Remove any old adhesive, dirt, and debris from the molding channel using a rag and adhesive cleaner or rubbing alcohol. Allow the surface to dry.
- Inspect the channel and mounting clips. Replace any broken clips before installing the new molding.
- If manufacturer guidance calls for adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive or primer to the channel per product instructions.
- Align the new molding with the top edge of the windshield and press it firmly into the channel, working from one end to the other to ensure even seating and engagement of clips.
- Re-seat any adjacent trim pieces removed during disassembly. Wipe away excess adhesive immediately if used.
- Allow adhesive to cure as directed (if used). Check the seal for uniform contact and test by gently running a water hose to confirm no visible leaks.
