Made from corrosion-resistant materials for long-lasting performance, the clips provide a reliable, OEM-style fit and are straightforward to install with basic trim tools — ideal for restoration projects or routine maintenance.
Features:
- Fits 2- and 4-door hardtop and sedan models (verify specific vehicle fit before purchase).
- Secures windshield and rear window moldings to prevent leaks, vibration, and wind noise.
- Manufactured from corrosion-resistant materials for durability and long service life.
- Direct replacement clips restore factory alignment and appearance.
- Complete kit includes clips for both windshield and rear window applications for convenient restoration.
- Easy to install with basic trim tools — ideal for DIY or professional installation.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–90 minutes (both windows, depending on experience)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and protect surrounding trim with masking tape to prevent scratches.
- Carefully remove the exterior molding by prying along its length with a trim removal tool or flat-head screwdriver, taking care not to bend the molding.
- Remove any remaining old clips from the channel using needle-nose pliers. If clips are corroded, use penetrating lubricant as needed.
- Clean the clip channel and surrounding area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive residue, and wax.
- Test-fit a new clip in the channel to confirm orientation and spacing. Refer to any vehicle-specific diagrams for clip placement if available.
- Install new clips by snapping them into the channel at the required locations. Make sure each clip seats fully and is oriented the same way as the original clips.
- Reinstall the molding by aligning it with the clips and pressing firmly along its length until each clip engages and the molding locks into place.
- Inspect the installed molding for uniform fit and seal. If necessary, adjust clip positions or press additional times to ensure full engagement.
- Clean the area and perform a water test (light spray) to confirm there are no leaks. Recheck after a short test drive for any loosening or noise.
