The Precision Rear Window Weatherstrip Seal, Without Trim Groove WBL 3429 is a direct-fit replacement seal engineered to secure the rear glass, prevent water intrusion, and reduce wind noise and vibration. Molded from durable EPDM rubber with a resilient profile, this seal restores proper alignment and factory appearance for restoration and maintenance projects. Its compression-fit design resists weathering and remains easy to install and adjust for a reliable, long-lasting seal.
Features:
- Direct-fit rear window weatherstrip designed for rear glass sealing and alignment.
- Made from durable EPDM rubber for long-lasting weather resistance and UV stability.
- Compression-fit profile cushions glass, reduces vibration, and minimizes wind noise.
- No trim groove design for applications where glass is seated directly into the channel.
- Easy to install and trim for a precise fit during restoration or replacement projects.
- Helps prevent water leaks, corrosion, and interior damage by creating a watertight seal.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Remove the old weatherstrip and any retaining trim, taking care not to damage the glass or body paint.
- Clean the channel thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or degreaser to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris, then dry completely.
- Test-fit the new seal along the channel to confirm orientation and length; trim any excess with a utility knife as needed.
- Apply a light coating of weatherstrip lubricant (soapy water or silicone spray) to the seal lip and channel to ease installation.
- Starting at the center of the top edge, seat the seal onto the channel and work outward toward each corner, pressing the seal into place evenly.
- Finish by seating both bottom corners and any remaining lengths; use masking tape temporarily to hold the seal if adhesive is used.
- If using weatherstrip adhesive, apply per the adhesive instructions and allow proper cure time before removing tape and testing.
- Inspect the installed seal for consistent seating, trim any bulges or excess material, then test for leaks by gently spraying water around the perimeter.
