Instructions:
- Lower the window fully and disconnect the vehicle battery if recommended for your model.
- Remove the door panel: remove fasteners, pry off trim with a panel tool, and disconnect any electrical connectors and the door handle cable as needed.
- Peel back or remove the inner moisture barrier to expose the window channel area.
- Carefully remove the old glass run channel: pull it out from the door frame. Cut into sections if necessary to free from tight spots.
- Clean the channel slot and surrounding area with isopropyl alcohol or a mild cleaner to remove dirt, adhesive and old sealant.
- Apply a light coat of silicone spray or window lubricant to the new channel and to the glass edge to ease installation and prevent pinching.
- Starting at the top corner, press the new channel into the door frame and work it progressively downward, ensuring the flange seats into the retaining groove. Use a soft mallet or block if gentle persuasion is needed — avoid sharp tools that can damage the flange.
- Reinstall the moisture barrier, reconnect any electrical connectors and reattach the door panel and fasteners.
- Cycle the window slowly to confirm smooth operation and that the channel seats evenly; check for gaps or leaks and adjust seating if necessary.
- Test for wind noise and water intrusion after installation; re-tighten trim or refit seal as needed.
