Instructions:
- Confirm correct part number and vehicle fitment before beginning.
- Carefully remove the old windshield molding: use a plastic trim tool to pry the molding away from the windshield channel, working slowly to avoid damaging the glass or paint.
- Remove and retain any metal clips or fasteners. If clips are damaged, replace with new ones.
- Clean the windshield channel and mating surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease.
- If the new molding uses adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of recommended windshield molding adhesive/sealant per manufacturer instructions.
- Starting at the top center of the windshield, align the new molding to the channel and press it into place. Work outward toward each corner, seating the molding evenly and ensuring clips engage as applicable.
- Trim any excess material if needed and reinstall any trim pieces or fasteners removed earlier.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per product instructions before driving or exposing to moisture.
- Inspect the seal for gaps and confirm there are no leaks after installation and curing time has elapsed.
